It should be a direct swap out - Check to see if both use the 2 piece bellhousing, they both use the same emergency brake setup and that the rear transmission mounts are the same.
If you're going to do the swap it would be a good time to change the pilot bearing, the clutch disk and the throw out (Release) bearing.

I think the synchro trans is too long to fit in an F-1... read this article

The synchro trans is 2+ inches longer than the crashbox 4-sp. Just means more cutting of the crossmember and new fabrication is needed to use it.

No, we can't tell a thing without extensive pictures and more details. But in general, a truck that's been sitting that long and uncared for, I wouldn't expect is worth more than $1,500 - 2,000 tops, and only then if the engine isn't stuck, there isn't extensive rust, and it's complete.
