Brake Controller

Any suggestions on best bang for the buck trailer brake controller? I have an old Kelsey I can use if needed. It's pretty old though.
Also looking for a good set of mirrors for my 99 Super Duty. Ive looked all over the internet and seen all sorts of mirrors for all sorts of prices. I'd like an actual OEM set but they seem to be pretty spendy. Anyone had luck with the Ebay or knock off sets?

Appreciate the help.

I think you get the best bang for the buck on controllers with one of the high-end ones. Folks seem to be partial to the Prodigy controllers. I can't fault their decision, but have found any of the high-end controllers do well.

I use a Hayes G-2 in my F350 and have found it to be very good in terms of operation and built-in diagnostics. In my opinion, the built-in diagnostics place the more expensive controllers above the more modestly price models, but truth be told, any of the newer controllers will stop your trailer. The issue is how smoothly you want that to happen.

Regarding mirrors off eBay, I bought a set a while back that were supposed to be a perfect match to the OEMs, and they do mount and look like factory. The plug did not match my wiring so I had to do a small bit of wiring to make things right. They were billed as an exact match, which was incorrect and I was replacing tow mirrors with tow mirrors. Can't recall the name of the supplier.
