well i did it. i just bought a 2006 f250 6.0. i love it it has only 105,000 miles on it. i changed the oil the fuel filter and the coolant. next week i will change the transmission filter.the dealer gave me a three year or 50,000 engine powtrain warranty. i have a couple questions i didn't drive it for a week went to start it and a puff of white smoke came out is that normal? also how do you clean the egr valve? one last question it is a xlt and i would like to add some things like a auto darking rear view mirror. Is the wirring in the headliner so i can use one i picked up at a junkyard and just plug it in? thanks for the help

EGR valve is very easy to clean. You need to take out the 2 8mm bolts and then use something to pry it up and it should pop out. Clean it then drop it back into place and bolt it back down. Not sure about the white smoke as mine doesn't do that.
