WHO: Diesel exhaust can cause cancer

First, my editorial comment:

Oh, Lord, those people in grey,
I gotta get back at those people in grey,
Here come the people in grey,
To take me away.

The Kinks - The People in Grey

"Now onto the news that California (CARB) will use to ruin our lives...

heard it too. What a bunch of BS. Sick and tired of this chit! First red meat bad- eat chicken. Then chicken is bad, eat beef.... Eggs good, then bad. WTF!!!!

Seems like anything CAN cause cancer if they get the right people to conduct a study. It's upsetting because of the fact that these wishy-washy studies directly effect our pocketbooks!

edit: am I the only one that actually likes the smell? (on the older stuff of course, not the DPF, DEF, etc...)

Don't worry... Six months from now diesel exhaust will extend life expectancy 3 yrs, cure impotency and lower your chances of a heart attack.

I heard that small amounts of saliva, swallowed over a long period of time causes throat cancer.

ill have to look and see if i can find it but there is an article talking about how dirty the air is in areas of cali, the exhaust coming out of a diesel engine is cleaner than the air coming in. the engines are actually filtering the air. maybe we should ban living in those areas.

LOL at the hand wringing in this thread. Being unhappy that someone said diesel exhaust is bad for you is like being unhappy that someone said lead is toxic. I'd say they both fall under the category of "well, yeah."
