Looking for interior paint to match my 04 with Med. Parchment interior. Anyone have any suggestions for something that matches the factory color well? I found SEM Medium Parchment Vinyl paint - not sure how this would match up. Also - any suggestions on a local auto store where I might find the stuff would be apprecaited.
I used Krylon Fusion paint for my Edge Insight mount pod except I only had to paint it flat black to match my dash trim piece. It's been in the truck for over a year now and still looks as good as the day I painted it. You can get Krylon Fusion at most any retailer and there are a lot of colors to choose from. I got mine at Wal-mart.
Don't worry about an exact match. If you look at your interior, you will find multiple shades of the interior color (parchment in your case). Everything is close, but far from a perfect match.

I purchase SEM products at my local auto body paint store and found them to be a perfect match. They have 3 or 4 dozen colors to choose from. I am not sure about the '04 models but some colors do change a bit from year to year. Take a piece of trim in with you to use as a guide and you should be fine.
During the install I lost the little copper ferrule that goes over the nylon line to the boost gauge. Can I get these at the hardware store? If not where?
BTW SEM medium parchment is a perfect match, it is the best paint I have ever used, the stuff is amazing.
Got it working, found the ferrule at Ace Hardware. Everything is working well, no gauge flutter and it is running up to about 28 PSI at wide open 3rd and 4th.
The only pending issue is that the gauge itself does not want to sit all the way down in the pod, I have about a 1/4" of the white side of the gauge showing on the top, pretty hard to notice but I am still going to try to sort it out. Might have to trim a bit more off the factory pillar cover.
Make sure the gauge isn't bottoming out on something keeping it from sitting flush in the pod. If that's not the issue, just take some very fine (600 grit) sandpaper and open up the hole a little. Shouldn't take much at all to get it fit correctly but don't take too much out or you'll lose the tight fit.
