Hello all! I am Dustin and I just joined the forums in order to get a better idea of what I want when I go truck shopping in a few months. I used to be on the Ford Truck World forums for years (10+) as "BADD5.0", but after I got a Mustang I sold the F150 so I never got on. Now it appears FTW is about belly-up.
But anyway, I test drove a 2012 F150 SCrew FX4 last week and I LOVED IT! I'm going to do some forum searching later to try and research as much as I can about these trucks in order to make a more informed decision... But if anyone has any advice to share upfront I'll welcome that too!
Just thought I would introduce myself and hopefully I can contribute here like I used to on the other site and make some friends along the way. Take it easy!

As I am sure you have noticed, a lot has changed in the Ford truck world since you left. These new machines are awesome. Good luck with your upcoming purchase. BTW, what was the truck you test drove? 5.0? Ecoboost?

As for the truck I test drove it was the 5.0 L. I like the Ecoboost but honestly I have to have that V8 sound. The way I see it is the mileage is going to suck anyway, why not have fun doing it? But the Ecoboost is impressive as far as stats go.
And as for FTW, what in the world happened? I actually like the format of these forums better than FTW but I was just surprised to see it so abandoned. There were some good folks over there.

Oh and BTW, what games do you play on Xbox? If you want to hit up some MW3 I'm always down.

I havent actually turned my xbox on all that much lately. Summer is not usally a good gaming season for me... Too busy with the house list. Honestly haveent played MW3 at all yet, I'm an old PC COD amd Moh:aa guy from way back The last battle game I played I think was BF2. I got sucked into Oblivion and Fable(s), and now Skyrim...

There are a lot of helpful people here on the forum and although lots of questions have been asked by others...try to use the search function as much as you can...but also don't be afraid to ask if you can't find anything! I also test drove the Ecoboost and the 5.0 liter and although I like the sound of the 5.0...I personally will want the towing abilities of the Ecoboost.
