A Long Ride

It's hard for me to believe, but it was a decade ago today that I joined this forum. Many thanks to all the friendly and helpful folks I've met along the way. I know your wise counsel has improved the quality of my life over the years. And I hope I've contributed something for you as well.

Many thanks,

Many thanks,

Happy aluminum anniversary! Maybe you should celibate it by installing a new Weiand intake??

I want to thank you for your decade of service to this community. I have been helped personally by you, and I know that I am just one of many thousands over the years.

I was a bit late in joining the group. Partly because I didn't even know what a "forum" was until about 7 years ago, when I bought an "exotic" car (RX7) that no one locally knew anything about. Now I'm the one all the locals contact when they need help with said "exotic" auto.

Your help was instrumental in uncovering the instrument cluster wiring differences between 80 and 81-86 F-series trucks. Just 1 example of a person going well beyond the "normal" level of help. I'm sure many others can cite similar times you've gone above and beyond, for someone you have never actually met......

Many thanks,

I'm pretty new to this forum, but certainly have come across many of you that have been here for a while and appreciate all of the help I receive...so thank you!!!

I notice in your signature, 3 of 4 of the vehicles listed were not even made yet when you joined

Thinking back to when I joined here I had just bought my 2002 F150 SC and still had my beloved 82 F100 Flareside. The Flareside would be totaled just a few weeks later by a hit and run driver on I95. Luckily someone chased him down and called his plate in...the police were waiting for him at home and slapped the cuffs on him when he pulled up. But I fought with his insurance company for over a year before getting back what I had in that truck. Still miss that one...

Thanks for the kind words. I don't have as much time to devote to the community that some members do. I'm just happy to be able to contribute every now and then.

Happy Anniversary! I personally have been helped by you before from a lot of your posts. In fact, we considered your truck paint scheme (using diff colors) as one of our choices when we contemplate repainting our truck. I joined about 5 months after you.

Happy Anniversary Bill! Thanks for all your sage advice and for being an awesome member of FTE! I hope I'm around here as long as you've been, someday... Hopefully I can hold on to my pickup for the next 10 years
