does this trans look normal?

Cant get the input shaft to go into the input bearing. near the end of the day, i put the cross member in to see where my reference is. I was trying to put it in at this height:

thatlooks like it lines up well with the block to bell housing..but way too big a gap.

once i set it down on the crossmember, it looks like this. and it seems it sits on the crossmember at a bit too much of an angle..

The best way I know is to look up through the gap between the bellhousing and adapter, make sure they are parallel.

does that look like a 2 wd cross member? is there a difference in mounting height, or cross memebr style in 4wd vs 2wd cross member? I hope the yard didnt give me the wrong one..

ZF-5 crossmembers have a U shape on the left, and are flat on the right, there should be a bracket that bolts to the frame for a 4x4...
