I've a 92 f150 2wd i just put new brake pads on it and they rattled so i went and bought clips to hold them still(it didn't have any on it), and i can't figure out how they go on. So if anyone can tell me how they go on or send me pictures of what to do i would truly appreciate it.
hi, I just changed my pads on my '93 4x4, it only had 1 clip. the clip was on the end of the pad with the tail end facing away from the rotor. Hope this helps. I still need to get new clips since the old pad that had no clips had worn down and actually slipped between the rotor and caliper and jammed up.

I got some pix and can scan them,( haynes repair manual #36058)
I am not sure how to e-mail to you.If you have a public library you should check out what they have for auto repair. I take Chilton's books out of my library, fix my vehicle, and then return the book.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Sep-02 AT 12:54 PM (EST)]Hey Conemower thanks for trying to help but my brakes and calipers look totally different than yours. Thanks though
I have a '92F150 4.9L. The rattle clips on my brake pads attach to the bottom of the pad with the spring action part of the clip on the bottom. When you install the pads the clip helps to snug the top of the pad into the caliper houseing. Hope this helps. I know the clips can sometimes be a little awkward.
Check your personal e-mail you should have a good pic of the clip.
If you have the front caliper that is held in by two sliding clips, this is the right pic.
