My other toy is a '69 CJ-5 354 Hemi 4 spd 4.88's 32x12.50 MThompsons w/ power-lok 44 rear.
I have a similar problem the rear tank is leaking. I want to know how to drop the rear tank, and run just off of the front. My plan is to drop the rear, repair/or replace it and then re-install it.
What I don't know is if I can still run the truck if I drop the rear tank. It is my daily driver and I can't have it out of commission for more than an evening. If I can drop the tank and have a look at it I might be able to have it fixed. There is a shop in my town that repairs gas tanks, so I might give them a try.
Has anyone ever done this or does anyone know if it is possible?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Oct-02 AT 09:56 AM (EST)]Can anyone help out on this issue? I want to know if it is possible to remove one tank, and keep the truck running on the other. My rear tank has a leak and I want to remove it, repair it and then reinstall. The problem is the truck is my daily driver and I need to keep it on the road.
