i have a 1997 ford f-350 with a 460 auto. My question is about locating the computer code on this vehicle. I located the wiring harness on the lower drivers side of the firewall(engine side) .
I pulled the plastic cover that covers the wires and losened the one bolt in the middle of the wire harness, now im wondering the best method the remove the harness...is the plastic clips also holding the harness to the computer ? or should i just pull it out ? i really dont want to do any damage :-) any help would be appriciated this is all to locate the code so i can order a new chip.
thanks for the quick response Ken. One more question....once i pull the connector out, where should i look for the code ? ( the connector, or the computer box )
