2000 windstar
since there is no windstar fourm maybe someone can help here, I have a 2000 windstar as second vehicle, battery keeps going dead, have replaced battery, alt and still have problem I dont see any lights on ao not exactly sure where to look next if I put an amp probe between neg cable and batt. post I show a 1.2 amp draw, disconnected the alt and still show draw.

Try measuring current between the positive battery terminal and the wires that fan out from there. At least those are distinct paths that you can follow, vs the negative side which is connected through all ground paths.

You can also try removing fuses, one at a time to isolate which circuit is drawing down the battery.

check in the darK to see if any lights remain ON, including any light under the hood which you can't see if the hood is closed and the same with the glove box light if any. Check that the radio is really OFF. Check if any power cable is connected to any power outlet, like the cigarrette lighter. Check inside the center console.
