The only mods I did we're adjust the dip stick and had to cut about two inches off the bottom of the passenger side inner fender. Nothing real serious other than that they worked great

I'm having the same problem everyone else seems to be having in owning a 1977 highboy that's the odd man out with a 400m because the truck was only made till march of 77 with that motor... But I went out on a limb buying headers for it from hedman and I got the 89360 but I'm
Almost positive they are not going to fit I attempted to try and get them in last night but did not work out to well, you said you bought those 89360 hedman headers for your 77 highboy and got them one, was it difficult to get them in? And your trucks a highboy frame and not a lowboy?

I did and it is a highboy with a 400 production date 12/76. Im assuming you dont have your fenders off.? Your going have to remove fenders and inner fenders. Otherwise your not going to be able to fit it between the frame rail and inner fender without hacking the inner to ***** and I wouldn't recommend that. I had my cab off.

My highboy has headers on it and they clear everything by an inch in any direction like the frame and stuff. My passenger side has 3 pipes that don't go to the collectors due to the damage from the wreck. Anyone heard of an 8 pipe side exit header exhaust thing?

I have every thing off at the moment it's just motor, tranny, and frame the all suspension is in as well, I'm doing a full frame of to the truck, but the problem I seem to be hitting is getting that actually headers to fit inside the frame and line up to the motor... The header you used was the hedman #89360? And anyway you could shoot a picture of our set up? The passenger side header also looks like it may not clear the starter on the C6

The only reason that they say it won't fit on a 76 is because the 400 didn't come on the 76 but they will work fine.
