2 questions 1. I had a little air compressor plugged into the cigarette lighter hole. When I tried to pull the plug out, I pulled the lighter out of the hole in the dash. How do I get it back in? The two little tabs don't seem to be spring loaded and I can't just push it back in.
2. I am installing a relay for an air compressor and it should be connected to a wire that is controlled by the ignition switch. What is the easiest way to connect it to the ignition switch? Can I hook it to a wire coming off the fuse block, if so, what would the color code for the wire be?
The truck is a 2004 F250 Super Duty.
Thanks for the help. Tom
Check the owner's manual - they may show an accessory fuse spot you can use for your compressor. You will likely have to lightly disassemble the dash and study it to figure out how to re-engage the cigarette lighter, or replace the socket with one from Walmart (they carry a 3M brand metal socket that is pretty nice).
