I have an RV on a Ford chassis. The wheels have 8 lugs so I would think this is an e350 but the vehicle is marked e250.
My overdrive switch is dead. Is there a fuse I can check? My a/c blower motor fried and it blew my turn signal switch. This problem started at the same time.
Does the overdrive kick in and out with the switch and it's just the bulb? Or the bulb doesn't work and the button doesn't work either? Is the "overdrive" light flashing(if it's working at all)?
You probably have a E4OD transmission(electronic controlled). Go to this site and learn how to pull the codes from the computer(your engine computer also controls your tranny). Fuel Injection Technical Library
If you look at the 2 digit codes, there is a code 65, overdrive switch not cycled. If you read up on how this works, you can pull the codes and do some test with the engine off, and with the engine running. With the engine running, the computer will prompt you do do some things so it can see if they work, one of them is cycling the overdrive switch. That may tell you something about the switch, and doing this whole code thing may tell you some other things that may be wrong with the tranny and or the engine.
