Trying to get the bugs out of our new to us 2001 V10 Limited 2wd. The overhead readout isn't working although it came on while working on the passenger side vent which now works but the drivers side stopped. The overhead stopped working after we got the passenger side vent working although it's still hit or miss on when the vent does work. Also no cruise control, did the diagnostic and got two flashes. Im new to this so don't know where to start with that. Going to do the foil repair on the doorlocks. The rear courtesy lights over the third row seat don't work even with new bulbs although the normal dome light bulb does work. I may at some point swap to an electric fan as idling or in town driving the ac isn't that cold but does get rather nippy at highway speeds. The rear air blower blows fine on high but don't think it does much on lower speeds, don't know if it has the same type resistor to operate the front fan speed or not. Anyway just a few bugs, nothing too major, I'd bet alot on bad connections cause it had spent some miles down a dusty road on the previous owners commute to work and when removing the trim in the back checking the lights and vent motor all that was very dusty. Thanks.
Could you explain how to take the interior piece off that covers the back up sensor speaker. Its the panel on the passenger side next to the rear window. Not sure if you have dealt with this piece, but it sounds like you tore into the interior a little bit. I looked at it and didn't see any screws. I'm wondering if there are just clips of some kind.
Looked around under the hood and found the 2 amp inline fuse blown by the brake booster, replaced it but still no cruise. Think maybe the sensor is bad. Also looked at the rear fan speed resistor, it looked ok but guess it could be bad. Rear fan only works on high. Too bad it couldn't be same size resistor as front as I have one of those new in box. So ready to get rid of these gremlins.
