5.4 performance
Has anyone installed Trick Flow heads . And after market cams. What kind of dyno numbers and most of all was it worth it? I have a 5.4 with 30k miles located for $800. I plan on putting it in my 68 Ranger.

first whats this going in, a Super Duty of F150? In a SD its absolutely pointless too do this, the intake manifold is so restricted its barely good enough for stock. After all the new parts are installed the intake wont be able to flow the added air, so no dont spend or waste your money. On a F150 i would say yes IF your adding a super charger to push the air into the motor, if not then no again, dont waste your money

5.4-trick flow
Hey Super, Thanks for the reply. What I am planning is putting a front clip from a late Crown Vic under my 68 Ranger and a 5.4 with a transmission from a Harley truck. I have 3.50 Detroit Locker already . The truck weighs around 4k and would be a good candidate for the conversion. My 67 XL worked out and is on the Readers Roundup page of this month's issue of Modified Mustang & Fords, so I am up for the challenge. Kenny
