throttle on 302 engine
Hey people, I have a 1982 f150 I just rebuilt the carb new plugs,wires,etc. I have everything adjusted and the engine runs great, the problem I'm having is the throttle is hanging up while the engine is running, but as soon as you shut down the engine the throttle drops down to the correct position and when you start the engine again and give it gas the throttle sticks and won't kick down to idle. I am lost on this one. thanks for your time.

I had to remove them, the truck was sitting for a couple years on an angle and when it rained it would make its way down into the air filter housing and down the carb rusting up the throttle plates,so I had to clean them up, I know they were put back in the right way.everything moved smoothly before I installed the carb. but why when running not working but working when shut off? thanks, sam
