Rattle bang bump
Have '96 F-150, stock, 153,000 miles. Has rattle up front, sounds like left side. 2 front end shops say all is ok. It sounds like a nasty car with extremely worn shocks...and I had 2 leaky ones too. Replaced all 4, no help. Had radius arm bushings done long ago. I think urethane ones were put in (they're red). I'm told these last pretty much forever. In any case..this rattle way different than when original bushings went. Only thing I found is left caliper is slightly loose, right caliper no movement. Is some play normal? Also, makes a horrible noise when wheels cut all the way to the right, more so in reverse, sounds wierd but this is what it does. I'm the original owner, so I'm aware of all repairs. To date, just the radius arm bushings, and a steering cam are all that's been put there, and the shocks. I just hate how this thing sounds!!Would love some info!! Thank you.
