have a 1977 F-150, 4x4 with 79000+ miles on a factory rebuilt enginge. There is a slight oil drip coming from the bell housing inspection plate area. I also only have 10-15 lbs oil pressure at normal temperature idle. Is this indicative of a worn rear main oil seal? If it is, will "Bar's Rear Main Seal Repair" correct this problem?

A rear main oil seal will not have any affect on oil pressure (unless the leak is so bad that oil is dumping out, obviously). 10-15 PSI at hot idle is just fine; the rule is 10 PSI per every 1000 RPM; so assuming your idle is at a decent speed, you're at about twice the minimum. The idiot light in the dash typically comes on at 5 to 7 PSI.

I don't recommend any sort of "stop leak" product. They rarely work, and often lead to other problems.

IMO stop leak products usually only cause money to leak from your pocket. replace the seal

Thanks guys for your quick reply. The leak is very minor. Cardboard on the floor will work for now.
