Rear liftgate and glass latch cables -1998 Expedition

Anyone know where to order the 2 cables for the rear hatch glass and liftgate latch? Online Ford parts dealers show a "cable" for $50, but you cannot tell if it is BOTH cables or just 1 as parts diagram is crappy.
Also cannot tell if it is the cable for the glass or the liftgate. I read posts here where cables were had for approx $25 each. Called a local Ford dealer, but parts guy insisted i needed to replace the entire lock mechanism just to get the cable(s), which i do not think is correct. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It is called a "Rod Assembly" and you do need two, one for each latch. P/N F2UZ*15264A65*B

Cost $51.07 ea plus tax in 2010 when I had to replace mine after they broke. Replacing the window latch rod took a little ingenuity since it would appear to be built around into the latch, but a little careful bending of the metal plate let me slip it out and then slip in the new one, bending it back in place like new again.

Good luck! (sorry I didn't take pics to help more.)

liftgate cables

So Ford calls it a "rod" even though its a cable? And both the glass and liftgate latch "rods" are the same part number? Thanks for your help

Yes, it's called a rod, and yes, same part number. Good luck!

THANK YOU Johnpvb! I have been searching for the part numbers for 2 weeks. Ford parts dealers have been pretty clueless about it as well. Thanks again for your help.
