Can't find original build sheet

I have a 1977 Ford F150. I have taken the seat and carpet out to weld in new floor pans. I have not seen a build sheet in the seat springs or under the carpet. I took the head liner down(need a new one any how) and felt in the crevices, still no build sheet. Are there anymore hiding places for the build sheets? I have been just about everywhere on the truck fixing something, so I would've seen one. The only other places I can think of is behind the dash on top of the air duct stuff. I don't think the PO would have known about the build sheets in the truck. Is there a number I can call and get a free, fully detailed build sheet? I don't want to spend $200 with Marti, that's a screw over.

I've found them behind the door panels as well.

This was the sheet that the assy. line workers used to build the truck as it went down the assy. line.
I bought a new F250 Ranger XLT in '77. The build sheet was shoved up in between the drivers side frame rail and rear fuel tank.

@ custom, a build sheet is what the assembly line workers used to go by as far as options and specific details towards the production of the truck.

Build sheets were inserted inside the cab at final assembly, so I doubt you'll find it behind a headliner.

Common locations were stuffed into the seat cushion springs, under the floor mat or carpet. Usually right (passenger) side for both locations.

You can order a copy of your trucks original build sheet, a copy of your trucks original window sticker from martiauto.com

Marti has all sorts of info available because he has ALL the original 1967/79 FoMoCo records for eveything. FoMoCo has none of this info any longer.

In the late 1980's FoMoCo was planning to THROW AWAY all the records that pertained to all 1967/79 vehicles.

Kevin Marti, a Mustang 'nut' in Phoenix AZ found out and got ALL of it. At one time, you could order a free build sheet from FoMoCo (they got the info from Marti).

But, not anymore. FoMoCo is now charging a fee and since the info comes from Marti, eliminate the middle-man.

Go right on ahead, FoMoCo has NONE of this info any longer, and is no longer offering free build sheets.

FoMoCo is now charging a fee for their basic sheet, still getting the info from Marti, cuz who else has it?

That 200 buck price is the deluxe Marti Report, how much for the basic one? I think I read a post here recently that it's 45 bucks.

$25 I think, then $40, then the $200(everything thing ever questioned is covered) or $80/hr. There ought to be a cheaper way. There's no sense in charging people outrageous prices on stuff like that. That's a monopoly, and ain't that illegal?(Sherman Antitrust Act)

Sherman Antitrust Act doesn't apply, because Marti Auto is only a mom and pop company owned by an individual. He can charge whatever he wants to, because there are enough people that willing to pay his prices.

Forget trucks, which are probably only a fraction of his business. If you owned a 1969 Mustang Boss 302, and/or one of the former White House Lincoln's, wouldn't you want all the info available?

It's all about provenance, the more one has, the more money the item is worth.

And btw, consider this: If Marti hadn't acquired all these records, there wouldn't be any info available, period. FoMoCo was going to THROW IT ALL away!

There is no info available for 1966 and earlier vehicles (except Shelby's, Cobra's, cuz 'ol Shel kept his own records), because FoMoCo THREW IT ALL away decades ago!

I see the reasoning, but he's probably close to making all of his money back that he spent on the records, I wished he'd lower the prices. and RIP Mr. Shelby, I know trucks wasn't his thing, but it would've been awesome if he designed one.

He made his money back a looong ago, since he's had these records for over 20 years.
