1978 F150 HELP!

Just found this site and so far its been a great help with my 2005 F150. So Im hoping that you guys can help me with my new project. Last Saturday, I found and bought my dream truck. Now I am in need of a place to find a bed for the truck, I have looked at LMC but not really wanting to pay top dollar for the parts and then have to weld it all together.

By the way, its a long bed.

Thanks for the help...

Well long bed's are pretty easy to find. They are about $750 around here. Should be able to find one on craigslist or whatever you use in your area.

Get on Craigslist and look for a truck with good body with a blown moter or trans and buy you a parts rig. Get what you need, sell some parts on here and go from there.

Or a locate a front end wrecked one, just ck the frame for twist that tweaked the bed.

Do you need patch panels for rusty arch rear wheel wells or is it rusty below the tail lights or totally shot?

If the floor is ok and you need complete bed sides, they are not that bad to replace.

well, I have looked on cl, and had no luck... Thanks for the help.

Yeah, the floor is shot! The inner bed sides are so so, not a make or break deal, and I know that it will need at least one bed side.

Im sure Ill be back on here asking for help again.
