You aren't supposed to hit potholes with 18s... that's why they are SUMMER rims. Although the width will reduce your fuel milage. I like RCs.
here's my buddy's old car (1 summer and 5 cars ago...)

Good morning all!
Apparently MN does a hell of a better job keeping pot hole fill than Vermont. We had an 05 ford five hundred they had 17 or 18" and she hit a pot hole. Split the tire and bent rim. The only good thing about low profile sidewall is when the go flat you can't really tell and you can still drive a ways on them. She drove home probably 8-10 miles not knowing it was flat

nope, we are terrible at it, we just don't hit them
that pic of my buddy's car was before we cut out the front sway bar. (It was stopping him from lowering the car farther )
Dustin I haven't looked yet but where is the oil filter located on the TDI? Get it from underneath? Any advice for changing it tips tricks?
haha... no. it's not a typical oil filter. (on my ALH) there is a black canister on the top of the motor (i have to remove the engine cover). unscrew the top of the canister, pull out filter (i grab it with a target bag to keep oil from going all over). Put new filter on. screw top on black canister.

the reason I use a target bag, is they are a little thicker, and less likely to have a hole in them. I used a grocery store bag (i think it was cub). Yup, had a hole, and had to spend 20 minutes washing the car...
