Just a disclaimer...

Since I made a post in another thread, I thought I should post a disclaimer. I started a thread in one of the general talk forums that developed into a kind of bash-fest of the 4WD forum. I saw that it was mentioned in a thread here. The bashing wasn't my intention at all and I didn't participate. I peek in here sometimes because y'all can be a fun bunch. I'm not a big 4WD fan, I just happen to own a near-stock highboy that comes in handy around this part of the country sometimes. But you won't catch me down at the mudbog, I'll leave that to the big boys. If someday I ever need to know how to shift into 4W-low or what kind of headers will give my truck better grip, I'll be sure to ask.

Yep. We can handle it here unlike all the pre-madona baby back bishes that hang out in the other forums. They say we are rough and bash anyone that comes here, but its funny how they hide outside here and bash us a will.

I saw, I didn't care, and still don't. If anything, I have my own part of the forum to go to......

Alto, that part is slower than the 5 year itch.

I really don't get what all the whining is about. I own a biker forum and the only rule I made is no pu**ies allowed. That way we don't need any other rules. I've seen some guys in some of the other FTE forums that are treated with way too much tolerance in my opinion. But when I'm in a forum that has rules, I just mostly keep my mouth shut because I'm not really a regular here -- yet. I let the old salts handle it. From what I've seen, it looks like the 4x4 forum might be might favorite place on FTE, entertainment wise. Y'all get away with a lot more shiite too it seems like. Maybe because everyone is afraid to come in here. Kinda like messing around in moonshiner territory I guess.

It ain't really a matter of being bad. My idea of a free and open forum is where guys can speak their minds, in the manner that men normally do, without having to be all freakin' polite and walking on eggshells so nobody gets offended. I know there can be a problem with "keyboard commandos" that will say things in a forum that they would never say to a man's face, but those guys usually get found out and can be ridiculed into obscurity. My bike forum is small because membership is by invitation only, and the majority has to agree. There's no keyboard commandos there because we most all have met each other, and as many of us as can make it try to meet up every couple of years for an epic ride. We have members all over the country so it usually means a couple thousand miles just to meet up. So what I'm getting at is, we're all friends. That doesn't mean we're all friendly all the time but, I think a lot of y'all are the same here, so you know what I mean. If others come in here or in any forum for that matter, and expect to be treated like guests in a hotel, I say let em go to a freakin' hotel.

All this is just my opinion, I'm the new guy here so I don't have any business on a soapbox anyway.

I agree with you there.

Its hard to tell someone they just spent $10, 100, 1000, etc on a pos part from the "cool kid rack" at their local autoparts store or some cobbled together modification when they shouldve spent the $10, 100, 1000, etc on something a little more well thought out and proper part/modification. They get very defensive very quick. I dont know it all but I do know a ****eload when it comes to 4wd trucks. I didnt wake up one morning knowing it...it took years of trial and error, reading profusely, watching and learning. I love asking questions and researching topics Im not 100% sure on. I talk with Dave, Paul and Karl regularly just to bounce ideas off of them. Many others here call/text myself and others for the same thing. The regulars here know how things should be done, how they could be done and how things shouldnt be done. Im not too big to say I made a mistake but Im also not going to apologize if I hurt someones feelings. Its just the way I am. Many of the regulars here know me personally...and yes I will hurt your feelings in person IF I think something should be done differently just the same as I would expect anyone here to point out something I did that shouldve been done differently.

I think you should have pecker slapped Paul more for me when he was at your place passed out just because he defiled my truck way back when. But that's just me...
