Came home today to find the one of the mowers left in the yard. Wife was mowing and it stalled on her. The engine was entirely full of gas, crankcase, cylinder, etc. & tank was empty.
Cleaned everything up, restarted fine, but when shut off, fuel continues to run thru carb.
Seems to be a stuck float/needle/seat, but here's the problem, there seems to be no way yo remove the float bowl. There are no fasteners evident, looks like it's pressed or crimped on.
is there an adjustment screw on the bottom of the carb? If so you have to unscrew it (there is a big brass nut the adjustment screw screws into) take that out and the bowl should fall off.
How old is the mower? And what make engine? If it's fairly new it will have no adjustments and not much else you can do either but replace the carb.(Thanks to the EPA)
It's not very new, came with the property, so I'm not sure. The lack of any nuts/bolts/screws makes me think its sealed. You're probably right, it's replacement time.
