Much better Turbo for a lot less money, especially if you're running stock sticks and not planning on upgrading injectors which you'll need for a P-Maxx.

So what is the cost of the Durastroke? A lot less would be less than a grand.

This is the first time I'm hearing of having to upgrade injectors for a powermax turbo. Part of the reason of it being called a direct factory replacement is that nothing else needs to be changed. As far as I know, quite a few users on here are also running on stock sticks and I haven't heard any issues related to Powermax/stock injectors from them.
Ok, Ok, having too was strong and wrong. A powrmaxx is a good alternative to a replacement oem turbo. But the past theory's have been proven wrong by the Durastroke, specifically you must add fuel = Larger Injectors and More Air = Powermaxx or non VGT to increase HP & Tq.
Adrian AKA MadPowerStroke has proven a higher air to fuel ratio accomplishes both of the above and lowers EGT's.
Search the other forum's it truly is earth shattering what's been learned and perfected over the past few weeks.

I hadn't heard of that theory, but I wouldn't have agreed with that on the on set without knowing more information about what was trying to be accomplished. That theory, as you state it, is proven wrong with just a tuner. As it adds fuel with having to translate to getting bigger injectors. Quite a few different ways of getting colder, denser air without having to change out the turbo. Rather or not they are good in other aspects is something different.

Never heard of em. I guess that means I've been under a rock.

Apologies, just letting you and everyone else know there are other viable options, for less.
It's all good, hope you're happy with your P-Maxx, sell your OEM to Adrian or get it upgraded and sell the P-Maxx.... to someone that's still under a Rock..
I'm in Garland, Off G-Bush if you want to meet up off 75 we can.

How much less?

I run a 64mm non-vgt turbo, not the Powermax.

Just might have to do that. I'm on Central all the time.
I'm about to go from the powermax, back to stock... Does anyone on here have a powermax, manual trans, and haul in higher elevation (2000' and above)? Reason I ask is because I've been chasing a problem where my powermax is popping under throttle while towing. The place I bought it from said they have recently installed another one in a manual trans truck and its having issues also. he said he would take the powermax back for a full refund....that's awesome. I have a thread on here somewhere about the issue, I'm on mobile and can't reference it now. So, my question is, anyone have the powermax with an 06, and a manual trans?
I'm under that rock, Guess im too loyal to this fourm. The stage 1 durastroke is $700.00, which is a damn good price. Time will tell if this turbo is truley the aftermarket one to have. Looks like they army guys are looking to get to 500 rwhp! Looks like he is a aircraft mechanic &1 man band with a lot of potential for growth! madpowerstroke @ powerstroke army & dozerdiesel.com

Earth shattering? You're joking right? There's a magic performance bullet for the 6.0 every couple of years. Until some track times are posted from basically stock trucks, none of it means a thing.
Durastroke should have done a year of testing before letting the cat out of the bag! Now there are more questions that answers. Originally per link (supplied) he was going to bust past the 500 rwhp in no time, now he's back peddling realizing how hard that is to do! Research, testing & more testing then make the hard fact statement's with dyno/track times to back it up. I will give him a lot of respect for the entrepreneur he is by designing/building/doing. Butt, If my Power Max went south, i could have another one in 2 days
