just bought a 2006 f250 super duty with a 104,000 miles on it what is all the things that shoud be done to it to make it reliable. Also dumb question what is that hook thing on the bottom of the dash next to the passenger feet thanks

I've wondered about that hook thing also. best answer I heard was garbage bag hook...Maybe.
Reliability modifications and preventative repairs are a big part of what this site is about. The search feature near the top of the main page is your friend. Just generally, I'd say service all the fluids and get some sort of digital (OBDII) gauges to monitor the basics. the factory instruments are incomplete and not reliable. Congrats on the new truck!

It is a hook to hold a plastic bag for garbage. We have 2 06's in our work fleet. Both have been decent trucks. The one has 156k and I just put a new turbo on it other than that is has had NO problems. The other one has 166k and has had the number 3 and 7 injector replaced and 3 turbos(they were all under warranty). Had some EGR issues as well but other than that nothing.
