June, July, and August BS thread. Might as well get it started. Certainly is hot enough lately to be summer around here.
Looks like lots of folks had great Memorial day weekends. We certainly did as well. Swimming in the creek, fishing, playing in the pool, boating, cook outs, family, friends. Good times all around.
Was hot till this morning..LOL
Went out to get the paper at 5:30 in my cutoffs and sleeveless T..
Got to move that paper box closer to the house..
Ya'll have a good weekend.
Boy I sure hope everyone had as good a weekend as we did. Started it off Friday with a piano recital. My oldest played and did fantastic. Very proud. Then early Saturday morning lined my bike up at Ray Price for the Officer Down Memorial Ride. Benefitting families of officers that have been killed in the line of duty. It's my forth time doing the ride. Tons of bikes and a police escorted ride to the memorial service. Took off after the ride to get home and pack up for a church camping overnighter with the whole family. Had a great time with the wife and kids and our friends. Fishing, crafts, games, campfire, smores, the whole shebang. Sunday statred with a early morning service on the lake. We all helped out and cleaned up the camp. Then made it home just in time to help my neighbor move a ginormous bookcase up a set of stairs and around a few corners. Whew. Now back to the grind.
Whats up fellow NC FTE members..
Last day of school for granddaughter #3. Looking foward to fishing and tubing on Lake Hickory and swimming up at Kerr Scott Lake in Wilkesboro with her and her two friends (affectionately known as the bobbsey triplets)... I think I maybe getting to old for all this fun.LOL
What's up Tony. Sounds like you got a summer of fun lined up. Never too old to have fun. But you might be showing your age with the bobbsey reference. Now I just showed my age by knowing who you were referencing.
Well, if it has a motor and wheels and goes fast and makes lots of noise, I'm pretty much a fan. I prefer to go to nascar races then watch them on tv but I follow it enough to usually know what's going on. I like drag racing, mud bogs, tractor pulls, more of the "let it rip and hold on" type of events.
So who do I root for? I used to pull for Ricky Rudd and Bobby Labonte. Lately I've been pulling for Carl Edwards. I've met all three in person and they were all super nice.
