tornado fuel saver?
A supercharger works by forcing more air into the intake. A turbocharger pumps more air, too.
But the "tornado" swirls air into the throttle plates, so there is no increase of air input. A venturi effect is what they are trying to make you believe is happening. Nope.
Bruce (Big Red Bronco, needing to come up with some silly gadget that does nothing, but makes tons of money)
I installed one in my Civic hatchback a while back. Now this car was already kickin and all I did to it from the factory was install some JEGS and Import Tuner Magazine stickers on the rear window. And I etched my name into the driver side window with my Dremel. Then I put some white LED brake lights on it, and got those new bright white halogen headlamps. Then I adde dthe Tornado Ohh mah gawd!! Instant increase in my horsepower, I could feel it under my foot right away. And I'm absolutely sure I'm getting at least 20% better gas mileage because I've been to the drag stip beating the pant off the other tuners twice without refueling.
Anyway, I thought it was time for a street test so I went out Friday night and hunted down a race. I pulled up next to a guy in a black Mustang something or other. I don't know all those 'stangs, they all look alike. This thing was pretty tricked out, big beefy exhausts, a big hood scoop, decals, and I could distincly hear the matched whine of twin turbos as the red ground effects pulsed. I figures this guy would at least stand a chance against my Tornadoed Civic so I pulled up and we got ready for the green light.
The light changed and we were off! It was neck and neck and I could feel the power of the Tornado pushing me into my seat! The center lines began to blur outside my window but the Mustang held steady just slightly behind me. He was putting up a good fight and I kinda started feeling sorry for him for spending all that money when my Tornado produced slightly better results. As I began to creep away from him I laughed and turned up the radio with my remote control because Eminem was on and that particular song didn't have so much bass that it messed up the factory speakers. Not that the speakers are bad 'cause they arn't ok!
Anyway, suddenly this block of road lead starts to gain on me!! I can't belive it, He just keeps comming. I push the pedal as far as I can but it's mashed to the floor. I'm helpless as he gains and gains and passes me by. I can't belive it, my Tornado failed me! As we pulled up into the Wal-Mart parking lot with the other street racers I got suspicious. So I go over the the Mustang guy and I ask him to open his hood. He smiles and opens it up. I look around and see a lot of chrome. Sure enough there are the turbos, and some really cool valve covers. Then I see it. I should have known, Right there between his K&N air filter and his EFI air intake is a Tornado fuel saver!!! I was beat from the start and didn't even know it! I'l bet he didn't even use a cup of gas chewing me up either!
Well, I was beat fair and square by the same advanced tech that I was using. But I'll be back out there next week, I've got a magnetic gas line stabilizer on order and my Aluminium rear wing is only 9 more payments of 69.95 away! That guy better watch his back!
