Calling all Artists!

Hello all,

I am looking to get some t-Shirts printed up and the screen printer needs clip art or artists drawings rather than real pictures.

I am looking for a front corner shot showing the grill and either side of the truck.

I prefer a rat rod looking truck but a nice condition drawing will work too.

Looking for 51-52 F1

Please let me know if you have a drawing or illustartion you would liek to submit.

I will mail you a T-Shirt for free when they are done if you would like.

Please email a picture to davecervone@gmail.com

Thanks!!!

It doesnt have to be the whole truck. It could be the front grill and part of the side and then fade away to nothing. I am not looking for a crisp detailed picture. It could be a caricture of the truck too. Something cool for the back of a t shirt.

Not sure if this is how to do this but here is a link to a picture I had in mind.

You can import a jpg file into Photoshop and then export it in various formats. Most silkscreen guys want a file that is color layered so that it is easier to get their screens layed out.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Thanks for the help!!! I am thinking something like this truck. I really like the look and the angle.

The drawing I would like would enmphasize the grill, hood trim, and maybe overall shape of the cab. Nothiong too detailed

That is awesome! I dont know what the screen printer is looking for. I would say it doesnt even need to be that detailed. It could be something like a drawing of just the grill, fenders, hood, windshield and door. Im thinking since its a screen printing its going to need to be basic without sharp, crisp detail. I dont think the ink can make exact drawings. I think that is why she wanted a clip art or cartoon drawing

Joe, Be honest. Did you just draw that sketch or use some kind of software? That is great.

The screen printer will want a solid black on white 1/2 tone design (any "greys" formed by dots of black like a newspaper or comic book) with strong contrast and bold line work for best results if printing in a single color. Screen printing can do fine detail, but it will not wear/launder well. If hand drawing, use a black felt tipped marker and single strong lines, like traditional tattoo flash or cartoon style art. That CGI picture could work if you kicked up the contrast or manipulated the gamma curve to drop out the light greys and strengthen the black, eliminated the background.
