I was thinking along the same lines as ax racer, Black shirt white ink. 1 color ink. Strong contrast and bold lines is what I was trying to say, just didnt know how to spit it out!
If you want to design a logo that would be awesome!

You can import a jpg file into Photoshop and then export it in various formats. Most silkscreen guys want a file that is color layered so that it is easier to get their screens layed out.
The options in Photoshop are endless. Here is just one sample. It all depends upon the equipment that your T-shirt guy has. The better ones will take the image into Photoshop and manipulate it to match their equipment. You also need to consider how big you want the picture. Some of us that take larger shirts these days may need a pretty big picture (i.e. use a pretty good camera, something other than your phone camera).
The first one is obviously the cartoon truck with the name underneath. We could play with the font obviously. The bottom one is a more retro style logo, we could do it in 2 or 3 colors or just black and white if need be. It shows a close up of a fender and wheel so it would work for your business.
Obviously I could clean either of these up and make them look really nice and crisp using my PC. Just wanted to do some REAL quick sketches and see if they interested you.
