He is probably in an area without the internet. Probably kicked back on some lake fishing.

Hope he has an ice pick, cuz many of the lakes are still frozen over. Alaska had a record snowfall during the winter. According to the Anchorage newspaper I read a week ago, 174" fell, while the year before, 84" fell.

Hope he has a litter picker. I saw a picture of a Harley that washed up on the beach, maybe he'll find a fat fendered Ford!

Here! I'm here! In Haines AK at the moment, 44 miles will put me back into BC and the Yukon for a day or so, then into the interior. Still not sure what direction to go first, guess I'll figure it out when I get there

What are you doing in Haines, panning for gold, or are you part of one a the media teams that are puttin' on those TV shows about rookie inept gold miners?

I passed by Haines in both directions a coupla weeks ago, on a cruise ship. Ship docked in Skagway. The scenery is beautiful, love the Inside Passage, the scenery in the Lynn Canal is nothing to sneeze at either.

This was my 4th Alaska cruise since 2004.

There are now two of these shows, Gold Rush and the new National Geographic Channel's Goldfathers.

Two of the Gold Rush mines are located near Haines, t'other is in the Klondike, which is located in Canada.

Dunno where the NGC's mines are located. haven't watched the show yet.
