c6 no forward

hi guys i have a 1973 ford truck with a c6 transmission and it wont go forward but it does go into reverse any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Did it come on all of a sudden, or has it seemed to be coming on for a while? It sounds like the forward clutch is not engaging enough to make motion. To move forward, the forward clutch and low clutch need to both be engaged.

Agree, probably the forward clutch. Usually the seal on the apply piston becomes brittle and hard and will no longer seal so the piston doesn't apply the forward clutch.
You can replace just the seal but it involves a complete teardown to get to it so you might as well rebuild it while it's apart.
