Well since I spawned an idea of looking into or debating on selling the X off for a 07 or later model Expedition EL. I have recently posted a classified on eBay. Now I know that this was a bit dumb on my part to not have purchased any sort of vehicle history report prior to purchasing this X as it was a local find. I was at the time out of some funds to purchase a history report due to the last of my pocket change going for fuel on the previous X before this one. Anyway when listing the classified and entering the VIN is when I had taken notice something. At one point in time the report states a total amount of miles of being over 200K, however at later dates and also when I had purchased the vehicle the miles was far lesser. Here is the link to the classified and if some of you folks could tell me if you think what is in the report relating the mileage may be odometer tampering?
Maybe things are fine and I could just be mis-understanding why it has amount of mileage far far more than what I purchased it with from the previous owner before me.
As for the minor accident report the rear bumper does seem a little bit tilted upward so I take it that one of the previous owners may have backed into something but nothing too major.
It looks to me like the DMV or someone had an error and reported it wrong. I really doubt someone put on >200k in less than a year and still have the Ex look that good.
I wouldn't worry about it. Since there are duplicate digits, they probably meant 23,964. I'm not sure why the owner only put two miles on it and it transferred ownership so many times. As it is, the DMV seemed to recognize the issue and corrected it moving forward though, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
It's not a perfectly clean Autocheck, but there are worse. Anyone who is concerned about the minor accident or the mileage issue should have as much or more concern over the six owners.
