I had tried to get on here before to do this but I've been working 14-18 hour days all weekend.
Have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day everyone and please keep in mind the true purpose of the holiday. It's about a whole lot more than cookouts and an extra day off during the work week. Keep all who have served and those who are currently serving in your thoughts as you celebrate.
Here's to our troops and wishing them a safe and quick return home.

I hope people got out and did something meaningful today. Myself and several others from the USS Bremerton (SSN-698) went down and assisted a Memorial with those who came before me today at Veterans Home in Retsil, WA near Port Orchard, Wa
They did a Memorial Roll Call with roses for each vet we've lost since last year. There weren't many WWII vets left compared to what I remember from when I was a child growing up near Fort Hood.

Memorial Day
Thanks to all that remember.
This is Memorial Day not Natioal BBQ Day.
I spendt 26 years in uniform and saw so many broken hearts.
My sister called me just to say thinks. She was the only one that did.
I am glad for what we did but sad for so many that paid for it.

Thank you Mauleone and every other veteran.
I was fortunate enough to have a veteran at my home this weekend who was a survivor of a road side bomb attack in Iraq. I'm extremely appriciative to all the men and women who sacrifice thier lives for my family.
