Install this relocation hose into the test port below the fuel pressure regulator:
6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter

Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Rusty Axlerod's Album: Blue Spring - Picture
Pull out the air filter to get to the pressure regulator. I didn't pull the upper radiator hose, I just pushed it down out of the way. Use a socket on the filter cover so you don't crack it, and use a turkey baster to suck all the diesel out before you pull the test port plug.

If you don't use the hose, put in a 45* brass fitting (and all the male/female adapters) and angle the sending unit forward towards the fan. The test port is M12x1.5, the sending unit will be 1/8"NPT.

It seems expensive, but you get a quality piece. I ran my sending unit to outside the brake booster and zip tied it there. I'll get some aluminum sheeting and make a custom bracket soon, but it's been working for 5-6 months fine now there.

I like that adaptor and would recommend it. I, used a 45 degree fitting, but there is not a lot of room for the sensor next to the fuel filter!

I have the adapter as well. Its a rip off but there's really no other choice, unless you want to risk damaging the sending unit.
