Ok so the sending unit on my new fuel pump gives me a bad reading on my rear tank. It's a used unit with 2 year warranty but the pumps both work and no more problems with tanks feeding each other. Can I just use the old sending unit? It seemed to give me a good reading. Or do the FoMoCo modules not unholy the sending unit?
Use your old sender if it functioned properly. I broke the wire @ the solder joint on the little circuit board, disassembled it, re-soldered it .......... good as new.
Not to try and threadjack your post, but is there any place to purchase just the circuit board for the fuel sender? I'm finding it impossible to find a entire sending unit that is compatible with my 1987 F250 7.5L carburated truck.

No, I've never seen a replacement source for the circuit boards.
