So One day I was using wipers and the squirters. Next day it doesn't work. Made sure it was all topped up with fluid...tried listening to see if I could hear it straining...and over my exhaust I cant tell.
Where should I start diagnosing this? Last time I thought I'd take things upon myself I ended up buying a alternator finding out from you guys later it wasjust the voltage regulator
ATM I am happy my acura is sold but I am still not wealthy enough to just throw new parts at my truck at random.
So...where should I start to get this fixed. I had one close call already (truck (bigger then me) came by and sprayed me with mud while going down the highway. Fortunatly my winter wiper blade was able to get the mud off in 3-4 sweeps!
Try the washer with just the key on!If you don't hear anytrhing check you wiring and fuse.If they are ok then probably the motor is shot.I just replaced mine and it was about 20$.
hmmm ok sounds like a buzzing sound...very faint though.
You think thats the motor? Any other way to confirm before I go buy one? if its 20$US its probably 35$CDN up here. Everything always costs more up here
Not the worst thing in the world I guess, I just am trying to salvage enough cash for headers and then time to do the floor =0 It doesn't need much...but I just took on full time summer school to catch up for what I missed last semester of college since I was changing programs and what not. Everything is back on track 'cept I cant do the norm and just work crazy hours all summer since Im in school.

I second that suggestion. Pull the line from the washer fluid tank and blow through it. Just make sure to wash away any wiper fluid before you do this. Methanol is nasty stuff to swallow.
Try unplugging the hose from the nozzle on the cowl. If you got flow there, then you have plugged nozzles. My nozzles plug up all the time. I put the hose on the top side of the nozzle and back flush it. Maybe run a fine wire through the nozzle holes to open them up.
Ditto on the clogged hoses & nozzels. Also, check to see if the little plastic "T" where all the hoses connect is in tact. Those things are made of old plastic and tend to disinigrate after a while, and the washer fluid just sprays all over the firewall.
I pulled the motor out of mine because it didn't work at all. I took the motor apart and cleaned all the rust out of it and cleaned the com, arm, brushes, and casing. It works great now.
What do you mean by "ripping it out?" They shouldn't rip out, they should be held on by screws. I have done this twice now and its not that hard. Take out the rubber lines, (3) 1 from pump to the 3 way piece and then the 2 going to the nozzles. Remember to clean the nozzles and the lines. I used an air compressor and a small pipecleaner. Be careful not to damage the plastic piece that holds all the lines. Even after that, they might not work, if they don't, keep cleaning them and try to get some liquid to go through them.
I'm not sure about the fuse. I'd have to look at home and check.
As for the hose, try loosening it up by twisting it. Once it breaks free, it should slide off easily. You could also try getting a needle-nose pliers in there to grasp it closer to the end.
If not, rip it off and cut the remaining piece out with an exacto knife. Then reconnect it or just replace it.
