QUESTION ON CAMSHAFTS
I have a 89 F-150 302W EFI want some info and some comments on what some of the camshafts you are running in your trucks? I just want to free up some extra HP without taking away a bunch a fuel millage.

Curently have the Comp cams XE264HR(35-349-8) roller cam in the original 5.0 for this truc with longtube headers and a 3" single exhaust, it makes tons of HP over stock(feels like double) but never seems to get more that 13mpg no matter how I drive.
Had a Crane 444232 flat tappet in a 5.8 in the same truck/same exhaust and again loads more power than stock but it managed close to 18mph highway and rarely less than 13 city.

Paul, does this cam provide good low-end torque as well? I use my 250 for towing, 99% of the time, and would like to get more HP out of my 5.0 but I am guessing I need to keep that low-end torque or increase it as much as possible. I am not sure of my gearing for I believe it has been changed by one of the previous owners, but that being said, I would love to increase the HP...Thank you.

No.. but then it's a 5.0 so there is no getting "good" low end torque, for that you need a 5.8 with a cam.
