5.0 Cam

I would like to put a cam in my 95 F150, something torque, for towing. My truck is still EFI, and I dont want to put a ton of money into upgrades but I want some powe upgrades, mainly a cam, maybe some bigger injectors, and a straight exhaust. But not much more. I am up for some others, but I am looking for a good cam. Something with alot of low range torque. Thanks guys. Take care.

A Comp XE256HR should be fine, although for lots of low end you'd do better with the stock roller cam and new heads...

There is no getting "lots" of low rpm TQ out of a 5.0.. not without forced induction, it simply isn't enough motor for a heavy truck. To maximize TQ output you will need a 5.0HO intake, longtube headers, and 1.7 rockers on the stock truck cam, but it still won't produce anything close to the grunt a 5.8 would for example.

No need to up the injectors until you are pushing 300+HP. I would suggest a HO cam and GT40 intake.

the best you will do is something around .480 lift.... because you are going to run EFI I would stick with motorsports and run a B cam.... and Conanski is right.... when youre talking 302.... your not talking torque...
