Hi all. I have about 215,000 km (140,000 miles) on a 06 f350. was towing a 30 ft 5th wheel up a hill and the motor starter to hic-up.. did that a dosen times and BOOOOMMMM!!!! Loud rattling out the exhaust, tons of white ish smoke... motor still running and just enough power to get off the road safely. Towed to ford dealer and they said the turbo blew apart on the exhaust side and had a new one in the truck in two days.. was quiet impressed when they phoned me to pick up yesterday.... Picked up the truck and as soon as I started it, it sounded funny, a definate miss, like a injector was unplugged.. I had to go up the hwy anyway, so I took it for a good run, motor smoothened out at higher rpm and had good boost and power, but a lot of black smoke. Thinkin the smoke is from oil in the cat... After a good run, still running rough at low rpm... Then started running ruogher and even rougher then barely enough power to take off from a light then just died!!! I waited about 15 min and tried to start, it started and I limped it up to the dealer again, still has no power... If I had a Gun with me I would have just put the B!@#h out of her missery.
I don't want to come off as offensive...but if you just left the dealership and it was acting up, why didn't you take it back to them? Any oil from re-assembly would have been light not allot of smoke like you described.
