I am rebuilding a stock 1991 302 EFI. This is my first build......
So, I am rotating the engine manually to find #1 TDC Compression stroke to set my timing. As I am rotating I am hearing large amounts of air coming up through my intake manifold..... Is this normal? Is it possible that I put the heads on the wrong side and the engine is porting the exhaust through intake??
Yes. Because of what is called valve overlap, there are times when turning an engine over slowly by hand that you will hear air leaking/hissing back into the intake.
