need emergency help!

I'm on the side of the road, broke down on my phone. We were on our way to pick up a pizza doing sixty when my truck just quit. I felt the engine give out and no power. I put it in neutral and the rpms dropped to 0 so I suspect the transmission was keeping the engine going for a few seconds. Any ideas guys before I have to be towed??

Is there anyway I can temporarily over ride it? No codes are being thrown. Fuel pressure is there, 40 psi.

Check the tin nut on your IPR ( to the drivers side of fuel bowl) to see if it is loose or has come off.

Okay, I've heard the fuel bowl heater shorting a fuse out could cause this. Any idea what one it could be?

Just checked the tin nut on the ipr, that's good. It just shut down. No oil leaks to explain no start, no codes either.

Unplug the fuel bowl heater(white plug on back of fuel bowl), then check for a blown fuse...#30 I think...

Try looking at fuse#30 I'm not sure that is it. I think Ford changed it 2002 when they moved all the fuses in under the dash.

The fuse was burnt, so i replaced it with my adjustable pedals one. Still didnt start. the tach does not move when trying to start, which tells me the cps is bad as well?

Are you getting your WTS indicator when you turn the key on?

My glow plug light comes on as usual, everything seems fine except for the tach. I cant recall if my tach moved till it started anyway? Its an 02 and i thought in 02 they stopped that from moving anyway? Or was it the older ones that dont move. Im on my way to get a cps right now and cross my fingers.
