Need a quick answer for a friend. Help please...
I know if I spent a half hour using search, I'd find the answer, but since I'm just home on my lunch break, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction quickly. Have a friend up visiting with an 08 6.4. His drain water seperator message came on as he pulled in. He opened it and it was empty yet the warning remains and he has reduced power. Any ideas for me to pass on to him? I'm new to the diesel and my truck is brand new so never came across this in my experience yet. Thanks in advance....

might be...I'd pull that lower filter, shine a light in the housing, pull the sensor and look at it.
I'd also pull the top filter and check that too. shine a light in the bowl and see if it is nice and clean and no rust or anything.
given all that then see what is up.
