someone was talking about how one forum was so helpful, then he got a new truck and went to another forum to ask questions and was snubbed by the snobs there. then the 4X4 section was brought up.
I agree with most everything in that thread. I have seen and even started threads in other forums that were never answered and know a couple guys that give advice as if the OP is running a full blown race engine (ie describing how to adjust rocker arms with solid roller lifters when the op has an extremely mild hydraulic flat. tappet cam)
What i do not agree with is that any newb who posts in here is immediately jumped on and ridiculed. I think 99% of questions are answered correctly and politely until the op gets all butthurt and defensive. The 1% are rediculous questions like hockey puck body lift questions with idiots (who for some ungodly reason have become a somewhat respected member on fte) reply with dont use hockey pucks use wood blocks. Its rediculous.
