I have a 2001 4x4 ex with a 7.3. I am hoping to do the super duty spring swap. I have found a set of V code front springs from a 2004 F250 4x4. Does any one know if these will work on my excursion? I had read somewhere to use 1999-2003 model V code springs. Also this guy has some P code rear springs. I assume that I should not buy these P code rear springs since everyone seems to use the B code rears? Any advice is appreciated.
I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to use the ones off the 04. I was gonna use some from a friends 04 because he leveled his truck, but he sold them before I really knew about what I needed to look for and they would have worked.
P codes I believe would fit however they are very stiff, and almost everyone is going with B codes, and some I think with C codes.
This is what I did. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...uspension.html
You may want to consider X-codes for the front, just for the additional lift when compared to the V's, since you have the heavier 7.3. That combo will likely keep the truck as close to level as possible.
