static drop?

I would like to static drop my 85 F250. Its not 4x4 so no point in lifting it so I will go the other direction instead. Something like a 3/5, not too extreme.

Can't find a kit for it though, and I'm traditionally an import guy so i don't even know where to start without a kit.

Thanks!

I'm not sure about kits, but what I imagine you could do is convert the rear leafs to springs and get shorter springs for both the front and back. You will probably get a rougher ride but it will be lower.

Getting a smaller diameter rim with the same bolt pattern would also make it lower but that would just be silly.

Lots of ppl do a spring over rear for a lift so i would figure a spring under would work. May have to notch the frame.

Think the rears are already spring under.

My F150 had the axle under the spring. DJM makes flip kits for the rear that drop it 5 inches in back. DJM dream beams are available for the F150's, but they don't list them for the 7th gen F250's. I'm not sure if things could be modified to allow them to be used. At $400 for a set though, it's kind of expensive to experiment with. I've got my old axles from my 86 F150, if you want to experiment. How far away from Memphis are you, luthoro? Those old forged axles are heavy!

Was thinking they werespring under but you might be right, was going from memory. If they are over then that would work for the rear but, woild need sopme form of drop beams on the front. Or you could do a suspension swap.
