Injector issue?

I have a 2004 PSD (6.0). 145,??? miles. I am getting a "cylinder contribution balance" on cylinders "6" and "8". Could this be anything other than injectors? If so, what? I haven't replaced them yet but was asking before i dropped that much $$$ into it.

You can also have a weak FICM, or a bad harness, I would check those 1st

FICM was replaced in January it died completely and left me stranded.
Should I still check it?
Bad Harness!? How would I check that? Couldn't just be a pesky faulty sensor?

$400 injectors? Where in the world are you buying them at? Through Tousley they're only $220...not that it's cheap; but they're not $400 either.

From Ford. They are like 360 but they want my core. W/ out giving them the core it was a few dollars short of $400. By the time I sPend fuel to the valley then climb the mountains back home I will have over $400 in them. Each. I may take my chances on eBay if that ends uP being the problem. And opinions on eBay parts?

no ebay parts for me. You can find good deals from the forum sponsors. That way is you have an issue you know that they will make it right. You will be in it for less than $400 for a quality rebuild.

This is the place i got mine from. They are in South Carolina.

Everone has had best luck with OEM Injectors

Try Tousley Ford Still around 400.00 with core but only 220.00 once the core charge is refunded

I'm not saying I'd never put their injectors in my truck...but something just seems too good to be true. Also, they list the 4.5L as an option in the Excursion and F250 through F650 (2003-2007)....never heard of that engine; just the 5.4L & 6.8L (both gas) and the 6.0L for the SuperDuties & Excursions. I know there has been the rumored 4.4L for years...but I didn't think that engine made it to production. Thus I question what kind of product they're putting out if they're listing an engine wasn't offered...or at least here in the states.

I don't think so, but then there are a few sponsors on here that I've never heard of.
