Gas Gauge not working

I had to replace my fuel pump and now my gas gauge has stopped working. It gives me a C0 error on the digital display and the gas gauge is all the way on empty with gas in the tank. The gauge seemed to work at first although it seemed a little low and then gave me the error after a hundred or so miles.

If it worked initially then stopped you have a bum part. I'd swap the pump out while it is still under warranty.

The weird part was the it was off initially but at least gave a reading. It then gave the error code on the display. I just don't want to have to pull the tank again but I guess that's inevitable.
